Choose from spacious self catering for 7 to 9 persons in the two cottages which form the semi-detached Altdarroch farmhouse overlooking Loch Eil, not far from Fort William, or, for the smaller party Altdarroch Lodge sleeps 2 – 4 persons. Alternatively book all 3 properties together for a large group of up to 20 people – ideal for family get togethers or groups of walkers and other outdoor enthusiasts. The rural setting provides lots of space to walk about and for children to play safely. Just be ready to meet our friendly sheep while you are here!
Further west again, in the quaint seaside village of Morar, famous for its “Silver Sands”, and just 3 miles from the fishing port of Mallaig – the gateway to the Isle of Skye and Western Isles – Essan Cottage provides self catering for up to 4 persons in a traditional station master’s bungalow.
Morar is one of the most beautiful as well as historic districts in the Western Highlands of Scotland, comprising a magnificent combination of mountains, moors and lochs, as well as close proximity to the sea. It is located approximately 42 miles from Fort William, along the A830.
Gasgan House is a modern purpose built self-catering holiday home based in Locheil in the heart of Lochaber in the Highlands of Scotland just 10 miles from Fort William with Ben Nevis and the Nevis Range Ski Center on Aonoch Mor and five miles from Glenfinnan.
Our spacious five-bedroom house is ideal for a relaxing family break or for large groups getting together to enjoy the wonders that the West Coast of Scotland has to offer.
The house is set on it’s own grounds, on our family croft, that you are invited to explore and enjoy as we have done for four generations.
The surrounding area is a vast mix of rugged mountains, deep valleys and tranquil lochs.
We are conveniently located close to the famous ‘Road to the Isles’ that provides easy access to Glenfinnan (keep an eye out for the Harry potter Viaduct), Mallaig (passing by the Silver Sands of Morar – made famous by the films Local Hero and Rob Roy) and Fort William (The Outdoor Capital of the UK) which offers visitors to the area a broad range of outdoor pursuits.
Whether you choose to walk, cycle or drive to explore the area you will not be disappointed.
